Social Tools: Ready For The Enterprise?

My first monthly webcast, entitled Social Tools: Ready For The Enterprise? is available for viewing.
A few comments:
- The presentation is 55 minutes long.
- Note this is the dry run for a one hour keynote I presented last week at the KM Cluster-sponsored Social Networking symposium in NYC.
- I treat social tools in general, including tools that help us create, maintain, and manage social relationships implicitly and explicitly. The former includes things like blogs, and the former, social networking applications.
- If you want to jump ahead, around 29 minutes in I treat Social Networking in isolation
- I introduce a 2x2 matrix for differentiating products and services in the social networking space: public v private, and individual v enterprise buy. More to follow in this month's Social Commentary at Darwin.
Let me know what you think. Future webcast are likely to be considerably shorter (like 25 mins) plus a few minutes of sponsor information.
[Note: I really have to get a new headshot -- seeing my 50-year-old white goatee side by side with the 40-year-old brown goatee makes it really obvious!]
[Also note: This is my first foray into the use of Macromedia Breeze. I hope to write up some notes on that later in the week, but so far it has been very, very easy to use.]

I found your presentation to be engaging and timely.
Our organization is focussed on managing compliance/security as collaborative processes and spaces between partners - "at the edge of the enterprise". I have been pondering as a product mangement exercise how to employ blogs between partners to manage projects and have generated a few questions.
Q: Do you employ one blog between partner teams and individuals - kind of a single sign-on or a slashdot community blog, or instead is there some additional value in giving organizations or individuals within them blogs and linking?
Q: Do these blogs have a limited life-span associated with them corresponding to the duration of the effort? If so how are they distilled, aggregated, and archived upon conclusion or concensus of closure?
Q: Do enterprises sanction bottom up discussions by issuing spaces? Or do individuals blog and create sub-spaces in there permanenet tools on a per project basis by request?
Q: Have you seen something akin to self-organizing resource allocation, scoping of efforts, and determination of timelines - like a community project planning meeting? If so what are the key elements? Do you know of startups in this space?

I haven't seen the full solution that you seem to be implying. Traction Software and Silk Road seem to be on the road to get there, although the timeline/project management dimension is not front-and-center.
